Making an income online writing articles can be rather easy for anyone. If you are a quick learner,then you can learn everything you need to know right from the Internet without any previous training. This is probably one of the best ways to promote a niche website.

If you are new to the business,you need to ease into it. If you jump in before you know what you are doing, you have a good chance of losing money and having nothing to show for it. There are several things that you need to make sure you know how to do before you begin creating your first site.

1. You need to come up with a great Domain Name (preferably with your keyword in the name).

2. Create a small site that is easy to navigate, I like Word Press sites.

3. Then you need to optimize your site so that the search engines will notice you.

4. Create an article about your niche from 300-600 words long.

When writing articles, make sure to keep your readers in mind. This means having good titles, a lot of subtitles, and making use of bullet points to help your readers easily scan your page.

Readers like sites that are easy to use and will be more willing to come back to your site over and over again. The more that your readers come back to your site, the more opportunities you will have to get them to click on each one of your affiliate links.

Failing to write your articles in this manner could turn your site visitors away before they even have a chance to see what you have to say or to learn what your affiliate links are all about. Keeping your articles organized as recommended will keep your visitors returning and enable your site to continue making money for you. After you have an article that you’re happy with, Now it’s time to submit to article directories.

These articles are usually put there by whoever owns the copyright to them as a promotion method. Each article has the owners byline placed under it so that those who eventually read the article will know who wrote it and will be able to get in contact with or visit their website for further information. Articles directories are a great place to put your articles so that they will make you money. Tell a little story of your use of the product or write a real detailed review of the product. Do your homework, it will pay off in the long run.

Let’s take a real life example. Imagine that you are a plumber. You write an article on an plumbing projects and place it on various article directories. Those who are looking for the subject you wrote about will read your article, see that you have the knowledge and skill that is needed to do a job for them, and visit your website or contact you via e-mail. Your article just gained you a new customer who may use your services regularly, but will definitely give you a nice profit at least once.

Furthermore, since you have posted it on a free article directory, others who have affiliate websites about plumbing will likely use your article for their website. Since they must attach your byline to it, this will bring you even more exposure for every website that re-posts your article. This because you will be benefiting off of the traffic that they get to their website.

There are many article directories out there for you to utilize. Your bet best is to put a copy of each of your articles on every one for maximum exposure. It will eventually help to bring more traffic and customers to your website.

Internet Marketing Terminology For Newbies

As you start to educate yourself in the Internet Marketing world, you need to understand some of the basic terms. The focus of this article is to just run down the most important terms and give you a non technical definition.

The first thing you’ll need when you start in IM (internet marketing) is a Domain name. A domain name is any.com,.net,.info,.org etc. For example my site for newbies is www.newbiesystems.com. Domain names will be prefixed by www.

The second thing you need to know about is hosting. Hosting is the place on the web where your sites files will be placed to be shown when your domain name is typed in to be searched for. For example, godaddy is a place where you can buy a domain name and then also host your domain also.

The third term is SEO (search engine optimization). Things you need to do to your website to get the search engines to see your website. Optimzing your site for the search engines can be a bit confusing when you’re a newbie. In a future article I will get into the details (it’s not as hard to do as it sounds)

The fourth term is Autoresponder. An autoresponder is an automated way to use an email service that you set up on your website. Most of the major autoresponder services work like this: You sign up for their service and you will have access to forms you can apply to your website. The form I’m talking about(opt in form) are the ones you see on websites that ask you for your name and email address. Once this form is installed on your site(easy to do) you have the ability to collect email addresses on your website. Within the autoresponder service you can set up as many messages you like to send to the folks that did opt in on your site to receive messages from you.

These are some of the key terms you need to know as a newbie. Internet Marketing is a constant learning process that will take some time to absorb, but as you continue in your education and application of the things you learn you’ll be amazed at your progress. Take it from me, not that long ago I had no clue where to begin. Once you get started stay focused and learn something new everyday. I’ll keep adding materials to this page

5 Tips for Internet Marketing Newbies

I have been involved with internet marketing off and on for the past 5 years until recently. Over the past 6 months I’ve had more time and opportunity to learn and implement more of the lessons learned.

When you’re an internet marketing newbie, as we all are at some point, you have these high hopes of online riches and success. Some of the sites you come across show elaborate homes, cars, boats, etc. You know what I’m talking about. It has a subtle sucking in power doesn’t it?

First you think… this must be the system I’ve been searching for. Then after you purchase you realize either:

A. this is just some rehashed stuff that you could find out for free

B. this product is for real but so far over your head you can’t figure out what to do first

C. Why do I keep doing this when I really know deep down inside that I NEED to start at
the beginning and learn this business! I NEED to go to SCHOOL!

TIP 1. You need to start at the beginning.Trust me I’ve been there, I have more products on my book shelf that I’m finally figuring out now after some months of spending time learning and applying.

TIP 2. You need to understand that Internet Marketing for Newbies is a learning process prior to making money.Let me explain, if you rush through things like setting up web pages, doing some SEO with out doing it right or trying to start an email list before you really know what your doing, you are just slowing down process toward success.

TIP 3. You need to STOP buying things PERIOD! Start working on the things you’re comfortable with for now.

TIP 4. You need to find and use Complimentary tools that are available. I can help you find the best ones that I have used. Trust me on this, there are SEO courses, list building courses, how to build web page
courses and ON and ON. Internet marketing newbies need to start here because….. WHY??……Because we are new to all this stuff!

TIP 5. Pick a Niche you are an expert in or have knowlege in, get a domain name(with your keyword in title), get hosting, Build a Word press page, install an autoreponder to build a list. Now you’re ready to start adding some nice content to your site along with links to products that you like to promote.

Ever have a time in your life when you were all caught up in a bunch of crap and didn’t have a moment to think straight?

We probably all have. Usually it happens like this…
Your career or business may be having some issues and you get home and find out your basement is leaking after a bad rain storm(ruined a carpet and starting to smell) , your son has some real issues at school and it all came to a head today and you need to go to school with him in the morning to talk to the principal. Oh yeah , you and your wife have been having arguments about money and the stress has put a real damper on your relationship.

All of us have had days similar maybe, but the key is how to sort through the mess without snapping.

You need to take a minute and realize this is life not the end of life. Make it a time to reunite with your wife to solve a few things together rather than stewing about how all this stuff is happening.

Step Away alone or with your partner and take a breath. Positive thinking does help, certainly better than negative thinking.
